Hewlett Animal Hospital and Pet Resort is a full-service animal hospital providing yearly checkups, vaccinations, dental work, heartworm blood testing and many other services to keep your pet healthy and happy. We carry a full line of Hills Prescription Foods and pet supplements. We are associated with the Animal Emergency Clinic on Old Country Road in Westbury. For after hours emergency care after 8 pm and on Sundays and holidays please call 516-333-6262. After regular business hours, Dr. Zipkin can be reached by dialing his cell phone at 516-458-1343. Protect your dog against heartworm and other dangerous parasites with Sentinel, the chewable preventative dogs love. Sentinel should be given year round to prevent heartworm, fleas and other parasites. We also recommend Frontline, the topical flea prevention, and Capstar, the once-a-day flea prevention that we can administer when your pet boards with us. For your safety and comfort, we require all dogs to be on a leash when they visit and cats must be contained in a carrier.
